Why most booking calendars double-book — and how ours doesn't
Most booking widgets compute free slots in JavaScript from a snapshot of the diary, then trust whatever the browser posts back. Two visitors looking at the same snapshot will both be offered the same slot.
Aqeris generates slots server-side from staff rotas, time off, holiday blocks, resource blocks and existing bookings — then re-validates the exact slot inside the database transaction that creates the booking. If two people race for the last place, exactly one wins and the other immediately sees fresh availability.
Capacity is party-size aware: a class with capacity 10 and a booking for 4 people leaves 6 places, not 9.
